There excist fandoms [regardless of ones preferences on them] and like an un-written rule, there's bound to be atleast one bad example of a fan in each of them. It's extremely stupid to label everyone in the fandom of your dislike as a low intelligent person with bad taste, [unless certain things really point them out as one] based on one spazzing idiot. Just like in real world, I like to believe not EVERY Austrian enjoy locking up girls in cellars or that EVERY Christian I meet is obsessed up to here with whatever the hell Bible teaches to be real and opress others to think so aswell.

Be lucky you're not into Crash Bandicoot. That is one insanely obsessive "het-couples only and everything else's pure crap and offensive"-fanbase if I ever saw one.

There are plenty of squeal-y hetero couples out there, but that doesn't mean slashed couples could, would or should be any less better, cute and appealing to someone.

Het stands for heterosexual, which means guy x girl pairings.
The problem is, 90% of the time that people try to use that reasoning, there's one heck of a double standard there.
Not all same gender pairings are unplausible, and there are just as many that would fit that definition in the hetero fandom. And yet people get a lot less flack for shipping those. It's rather unfair.
